As the new CTS Sport Sedan gets accolades and new owners, Cadillac takes the next step, when it debuted in 2009 Cadillac CTS-V, maximum expression of the brand of performance and luxury. From the fourth quarter of 2008, the new Cadillac CTS-V intends to combine serious performance of an elite sports car with the balance and elegance of a prestigious luxury sedan.
Part of Cadillac's acclaimed V-Series high-performance models, CTS-V, which produces about 550 horsepower (410 kW). More than just power, CTS-V also includes a full range of technical and design enhancements, including Magnetic Ride Control, Industrial premiere Traction Management program and the addition of a new paddle-shift automatic transmission.
Several key technical and design elements combine to transform the already capable CTS into the new V-Series As the existing CTS, the V-Series product of a process of intensive development in North America and Europe, including the famous test track, and millions of miles of the road. Support the continued expansion of global Cadillac, the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V should be available outside North America for the first time, including exports to Europe, Middle East and Asia. "The CTS-V represents the full extension of our design capabilities, technology and performance," said Jim Taylor, Cadillac general manager. "V-Series takes the award-winning CTS sport sedan and elevates to a position in the club car of the most exclusive and capable in the world."
As with any new version of the CTS sport sedan was prepared in 2008, Cadillac engineers and designers began a system of new CTS-V, which reach much higher performance and luxury. Through the original CTS-V, Cadillac proved that it can develop a powerful, high-performance sedan. Challenge for the 2009 model was to improve every aspect of a comprehensive work together to reach the limits of performance.
