Shanghai GM has unveiled the new Cadillac SLS. It is one of two new models - Buick Excelle with XT - which made its world debut on the automaker's stand at Auto Show 2009 in Guangzhou. The new SLS is the next generation of the sedan Cadillac SLS luxury business, which was introduced in China in 2006. It combines the elegance of traditional American luxury brand with advanced technology and is specially designed for the elite business.
The new Cadillac SLS will select two new world-class engines with direct fuel injection mated to a six-speed manual-automatic transmission. Engine 3.0-liter SIDI delivers 272 hp and 300 Nm, while the 3.6-liter SIDI engine produces a maximum power of 310 hp and 374 Nm of torque. In addition to the impressive power, the engine reduces fuel consumption by 9 percent and produces less hydrocarbon emissions than similar plants.
The new SLS has GM's OnStar vehicle security services, and information protection, living in China in early December. With the push of a button, the owners of Cadillac SLS will be immediately connected to the OnStar call center for service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is the first model of Shanghai GM OnStar-equipped. The new Cadillac SLS comes in four variants are priced between 448,000 yuan and 698,000.
OnStar will initially offer services 14: Automatic Crash Response, Emergency Services, automatic response to deployment of airbags, OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics, On-Demand Diagnostics, Good Samaritan, a stolen vehicle, remote keyless entry, horn and lighthouses, roadside assistance, hands free calls, point of interest, turn-by-Turn Navigation and download destination.
